AI research company founded in June 2024 by Ilya Sutskever, Daniel Gross and Daniel Levy, with one stated goal and one planned product, a safe superintelligence. Sutskever has been CEO since July 2025, when Gross left for Meta. It raised 1 billion dollars in September 2024 and 2 billion dollars at a reported 32 billion dollar valuation in April 2025, and in July 2026 signed a long-term partnership with Nvidia, reported at about 5 billion dollars, for access to the Vera Rubin platform. It had released no model as of September 2026.
